Polestar 4 support

Polestar 4 is an electric performance car in the D-segment. It’s available in two variants, The Polestar 4 coupé and the Polestar 4 SUV. They are positioned between Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in terms of size and price.  

Measured to the top of the rear seat backs, the Polestar 4 SUV can load approximately 30 litres more than the Polestar 4 coupé. When measured up to the inner roof, the Polestar 4 SUV can load 129 litres more thanks to the extended roofline. The total luggage volume for Polestar 4 coupé is 1 536 litres and 1 665 litres for Polestar 4 SUV, measured with folded rear seats. 

Polestar 4 is manufactured in Hangzhou Bay, China and Busan, South Korea. The Polestar 4 coupé is manufactured in Hangzhou Bay for all markets except Canada, while the Polestar 4 SUV is manufactured in Busan for all markets where available. 

Yes, the Polestar 4 SUV has a dynamic roof load capacity of 100 kg and is designed to support accessories like roof tents thanks to its integrated roof rails and a static roof load capacity (max. capacity while the vehicle is parked) of 300 kg. The Polestar 4 coupé has a dynamic roof load capacity of 75 kg and is designed to support general items such as a roof box, bike holders etc. We therefore recommend using the Polestar 4 SUV to carry roof tents. It is important that the user always ensures that the combined weight of accessories mounted on the roof is kept within the vehicle’s certified roof load limits and follow the accessory manufacturer’s installation guides. 

The extended roofline on Polestar 4 SUV with a rear windscreen naturally allows for changing the standard mirror offer, while customer feedback also has shown that preferences for rear-view mirrors vary, with some drivers favouring a traditional mirror. As we continue to believe the digital rear-view mirror offers valuable benefits, this system gives the driver an expansive rearward view, with no headrests or passengers in the way – a key advantage over conventional mirrors. The screen can also be switched to a traditional mirror mode when preferred, giving it a duality of purpose. By making it an option, we’re giving customers the choice to select the solution that best fits their preferences. 

The absence of a rear window was a design feature first unveiled in the Precept concept car and was implemented in the Polestar 4 coupé. The rear-view mirror has been replaced by a high-definition screen that displays a live camera feed from the car's roof. This system gives the driver an expansive rearward view, with no headrests or passengers in the way – a key advantage over conventional mirrors. This screen can also be switched to a traditional mirror mode if the driver wants to check on the rear occupants. While it might require a bit of adjustment, drivers find it quickly becomes second nature to use. 

By eliminating the rear window, we were also able to extend the rear header and expand the panoramic glass roof behind the rear passengers. This creates an incredibly spacious and bright interior environment, enhancing headroom and overall comfort. 

If no key (key card or ultra-wideband key) is linked to your driver's profile, your Polestar 4 will automatically load the guest profile each time it's being unlocked. To make sure Polestar 4 always loads your profile when unlocking the vehicle, please link your key to your profile. If you share your car with other family members, we recommend a key is linked to either profile.

To stop the charging process, unlock and release the charging cable in Polestar 4. This is done by pressing the stop charging button in the centre display or via the charging station. If your car has reached the set charging limit, the cable will be released when the car is unlocked.

No, cars equipped with Performance pack include larger brake discs and the larger 4-piston Brembo brake callipers which requires a wheel size of 21" or 22". 

To activate internet access in your car, an account must first be registered with our internet service provider to provide them with customer details. Account registration is part of the KYC (Know Your Customer) process that requires the internet service provider to be able to identify who is using their services. 

With a registered account, internet activation can be performed on your order page once your handover has been booked and the car has arrived at the handover location. Performing this activation does not affect the start date or duration of the car’s connected services, so it is recommended to perform this activation as soon as possible to ensure that your car has internet access at the time of handover. Some markets require you to enter your credit card information for identification purposes, but no funds will be withdrawn.
