Awaiting final development and certification from Google and Samsung, it is currently not possible to activate a digital key on Google and Samsung devices. At this time, there is no set timeline for completion, but we look forward to informing you as soon as the functionality is made available to us.

We plan to release the digital key functionality for Polestar 4 to Samsung and Google devices. At the moment, no other OEMs are in the scope to be compatible with the functionality in this car.

We’re aware that the ambient temperature shown in the centre display may sometimes appear a bit higher than the actual outside temperature. This can happen if the sensor is affected by external factors like strong sunlight, or heat from nearby components, which can momentarily influence the reading.

We’re working on a future software update that will use an additional data source to improve accuracy. The current sensor will still be there as a backup, but the display will rely primarily on more consistent information. At present, there is no confirmed timing for its release. Updates will be shared as soon as the information becomes available.

Polestar 4 uses a Mobileye system built around 11 vision-based cameras and one radar, with camera units placed around the car, all feeding into a central computer that manages safety, parking, and driver assistance. The Mobileye Supervision system is designed to take a more independent role when providing assistance, meaning it either assists fully while you supervise with your hands on the steering wheel, or you take full control yourself. This differs from Polestar 2 and Polestar 3, where the systems allow for more driver input and small manoeuvres while the assistance function is active.

Google Gemini is a next-generation, more conversational and capable, in-car assistant experience, designed to make voice interactions feel more natural, help you manage tasks more efficiently, and provide smarter support while driving. Gemini will come to Polestar vehicles with Google built in during 2026. As Google continues to evolve its digital services, Polestar drivers can expect an assistant that becomes increasingly intuitive, helpful, and seamlessly integrated into the overall driving experience.

DC charging performance can vary depending on several factors, especially those affecting working temperatures in both the battery and the charger. To ensure the best possible charging speed during DC fast charging, mainly in cold conditions, we recommend the following:

Always set a DC fast charger (>70 kW) as the destination in the built-in Google Maps app and make sure the estimated state of charge when arriving is kept above 7%. This is crucial for the car to automatically start battery pre-conditioning while driving. A common error is setting a destination where there’s a DC charger into the navigation system, which will not have the required effect. Instead, the actual charger needs to be set as your destination. 
 
Large batteries may require longer heat-up time, so make sure to plan your charging stop already when setting off, rather than waiting until you need to charge. This will give the car enough driving time to complete effective preconditioning before you arrive at the charger. On long trips with multiple stops, ensure that the charging stop is prioritized as your first stop in the route guidance. 
 
Battery preconditioning for DC charging is available from software version P4.2.1 onward, so all cars running on P4.1.11, or older, should be updated to benefit from this functionality.
