Settings for locking and unlocking

You can customise how your car reacts when locking or unlocking.

 Note

Different settings affect how and when your car is locked. Make sure to familiarise yourself with the different options and how they affect the locking and unlocking behaviours.

Proximity lock

You can choose whether your car should automatically unlock when you approach it and lock when you're walking away from it with the proximity lock setting. For this feature to work, you need to carry a recognised distance-capable key.

Two-step unlock

If you turn on the two-step unlock setting, only the driver's door unlocks when you unlock the car using the key card or the button on the key fob. When two-step unlock is enabled, you can still unlock all of the doors by pressing the unlock button on your key fob twice.

General locking behaviour

You can customise many of your car's general locking behaviours. For example, you can set the windows to automatically close when the car locks and turn the locking sound on or off.

 Note

Selecting which doors unlock

When the proximity lock setting is enabled, all of the doors unlock or lock simultaneously when you approach or leave the car with a distance-capable key. Disable the proximity lock setting if you want to select which doors unlock.
