Business Contract Hire is available to you through a contract hire agreement from Volvo Car Financial Services UK Ltd trading as Polestar Finance, which is designed to be a straightforward way to drive a new car.

You select: 

• Vehicle specification 
• Annual mileage (from 5,000 to 50,000 miles) 
• Duration of agreement (from 24 to 48 months) 
• Advance Payment (from 1 to 12 months)

Based on your chosen car, term and annual mileage, you'll make a fixed monthly payment for the duration of your agreement. Any advance payment you make will reduce your monthly payments throughout your agreement. The maximum planned mileage on the car at the end of the agreement can be no more than 100,000 miles. 
 
Once you reach the end of your agreement, you simply hand the car back. Providing that you've looked after the car and kept within your contracted mileage there will be nothing more to pay. The car needs to be in a condition in line with its age and mileage. It's important to try and accurately predict your mileage. For any excess mileage, you'll be charged a pence per mile fee. This fee will be detailed on the initial quote and agreement you sign. Condition is based on the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association's Fair Wear and Tear Guide. 

Business Contract Hire is a hire agreement, meaning you’ll never own the car. This means you avoid the hassle of deciding what to do with the car at the end of the agreement as you cannot sell it - simply hand it back once your contract is up. 

No matter how you choose to finance your Polestar, you'll receive service at Polestar Service Partners for up to 3 years. Scheduled maintenance and wash with every scheduled service comes as standard, and is performed by approved Polestar technicians. 

 Polestar genuine parts and approved software updates are also included. Pick up and delivery service will also be provided. Polestar will collect your car at a predetermined time and place, and return it once the service is complete. 

 Included services 

• 3 years vehicle servicing (up to 31,250 miles) 
• 3 years connected services 
• 3 years roadside assistance 
• 3 years vehicle warranty (up to 60,000 miles) 
• 8 years battery warranty (up to 100,000 miles) 

You’ll select your annual mileage as part of your quote and application. Your total mileage is calculated by taking your annual mileage and multiplying it by the number of years your agreement is in place for example: 

• 10,000 annual miles x 4 years (48 months) = 40,000 total miles. 
• 10,000 annual miles x 3.5 years (42 months) = 35,000 total miles. 

 If you’ve exceeded your total mileage allowance at the end of the agreement, you’ll be charged an excess fee per mile, which is stated on your agreement. To avoid being charged excess mileage, try to consider your mileage requirements as accurately as possible before applying.

No. You are responsible for insuring the car yourself.

Monthly payments should remain fixed for the entire period of the agreement, however, in certain limited circumstances set out in the hire agreement we may vary them. An example of such a change would be if a tax rate changed. If you fall behind with payments you will be required to make additional payments to bring your account up to date. Any changes to your Direct Debit will be advised a minimum of 5 working days before payment as part of the Direct Debit Guarantee. 

No. You are responsible for servicing the car yourself.

In the event of an accident or car damage, you will be responsible for the repair of any damage. We can assist you in arranging an appointment with one of our Polestar Service Partners.

If your vehicle is written off you are required to carry on making your monthly payments until your insurance company has resolved the matter. Where your vehicle has been deemed a total loss your account must be settled in full once any insurance payout has been made. If you have taken out a GAP insurance policy you may be able to make a claim.

If your vehicle is stolen, you are required to carry on making your monthly payments until your insurance company has resolved the matter. If you have informed us that your vehicle has been stolen but it is subsequently found and returned, please obtain a letter from your insurance company to confirm this. If your vehicle is not recovered your account must be settled in full once any insurance pay out has been received.

Road fund licence is not included. As explained in the terms of your contract, as the registered keeper you will pay on time all licence fees (including road fund licence), charges (including congestion charges), taxes, parking fines, and other sums due relating to the goods or for their use.

When the leasing contract is about to expire, Volvo Car Financial Services UK Ltd trading as Polestar Finance will contact you to schedule the return or collection of the vehicle.

Volvo Car Financial Services UK Ltd trading as Polestar Finance will collect personal information about you e.g. name, address, salary etc. as well as asking you some affordability questions, so that they can assess your eligibility for car finance, undertake a credit score check and manage the agreement with you. They will only use this information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, Credit Application Statement and Use of Information Statement, each of which will be provided to you during the application and sign up process. They will also supply a copy of the Use of Information Statement to you if you enter into an Agreement with them.

Business Contract Hire is a hire agreement, meaning you'll never own the car and will need to hand it back to Volvo Car Financial Services UK Ltd trading as Polestar Finance at the end of the agreement.

Although you don't have a statutory right to terminate this agreement before the end of the fixed period of hire, you may request early termination at any point during the fixed period. Volvo Car Financial Services UK Ltd trading as Polestar Finance will provide you with a quote of the early termination charge when early termination is requested.

You should carefully consider your ability to meet your repayments without undue difficulty within your agreement term.
