FAQ
Connected services
An extension for Connected services plus is available when buying a new car from Polestar. You can also buy an extension in the Extras web shop 6 months before the expiration of your current period.
If you log into your account on Polestar.com, You can view the current expiry date.
Yes, you will be informed before expiry via email and in the Polestar app, so you have time to purchase the extension without losing access to the services.
Without an extension, you will still have access to connected services standard, which includes Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, the Polestar app, including remote functions (e.g., pre-heating, charge levels, lock/unlock the car), Emergency Services such as SOS and Polestar Connect, and downloaded maps in Google Maps.
If purchased when Connected Services Plus is already activated in the car, the extension activates automatically at the end of the current period. If purchased when Connected Services Plus is not active in the car, the extension activates immediately and is available the next drive cycle.
Yes. Tethering your phone to your car allows you to use your personal data plan from that device. This will give you access to all the features included in Connected services plus. Read more about phone tethering in the owner’s manual.
The extension remains tied to the vehicle regardless of any change in ownership. This means that if you sell your car before the extension expires, a refund will not be provided.
You must be the registered primary driver or the owner of the car to be able to purchase Connected services plus. Contact Polestar Support if you need further assistance.
