2020 AutoGids Best Car Award

Polestar 2 first arrived in Belgium in June, when the initial shipment of customer cars made port in Zeebrugge. And in just five months, Polestar 2 has won its first award in Belgium: the 2020 AutoGids Best Car Award in the “Electric Large” category.

To determine a winner, the editors of AutoGids selected five cars in nine categories based on different criteria like performance and driving experience. The categories correspond to the most important segments of the Belgian market. The AutoGids readers were then able to vote for their favourite by category. Finally, an independent expert jury, consisting of experienced automotive journalists also weighed in. Within the “Electric Large” category, the Polestar 2 was nominated alongside some of the leading EV’s on the market.

"The fact that we can win amongst such tough fellow nominees makes us extra proud. It shows that the classic conventions in our sector are fading and only confirms our relevance in the Belgian market. We are ready to conquer the Belgian roads," says Lies Eeckman, Managing Director of Polestar Belgium.

We knew Polestar 2 would make an impact upon arrival. This award is confirmation.
