Polestar 5: The Australian Premiere
Polestar 5 made its Australian debut in March at an exclusive event in Sydney, bringing together a community of design and sustainability leaders.

Polestar 5 brings together the very best of Scandinavian design, cutting-edge technology, and our commitment to sustainability. It’s our brand on wheels.
Machine Hall, a striking former power substation in the heart of the city, was a fitting backdrop for a vehicle that represents the future of electric performance. Guests gathered inside the industrial heritage venue for a first look at the pure performance Grand Tourer, which began life more than six years ago as the Polestar Precept concept.
The evening featured a series of presentations and conversations highlighting the car’s harmonious blend of design, engineering, and sustainability. Scott Maynard, Managing Director of Polestar Australia, described the Polestar 5 as the most complete expression of the brand’s values to date.

Ahead of the reveal, guests enjoyed a panel conversation featuring several leading Australian innovators. Inspired by the Polestar 5's journey from concept to production, internationally recognised industrial designer David Caon, sustainable fashion pioneer Kit Willow and Tracey Warren, a visionary leader reimagining how women access capital and CEO of F5 Collective, discussed what it takes to drive dreams into reality.
Then, the much-anticipated reveal.
Polestar 5 was met with applause as it was revealed to the crowd for the very first time. Guests were guided through an in-depth walkaround of the car, highlighting the vehicle’s distinctive design and engineering innovations. From its stunning body to its bonded-aluminium architecture and sustainable materials, there was plenty to be said about Polestar 5 – elegant, precise, and groundbreaking.

The night rounded out with guests viewing the vehicle up close, while interacting directly with the team behind it. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a selection of sustainably sourced canapés, reflecting the event’s broader focus on responsible production and considered design.
As Maynard told guests during the evening’s presentation, the Polestar 5 underscores Polestar’s commitment to making progress “not just visible, but tangible"
Following its Sydney debut, Polestar 5 is now embarking on a national roadshow of Polestar Spaces across Australia, providing the opportunity to experience the vehicle firsthand. The roadshow began at Polestar Artarmon in March and continues around the country until the middle of June.
