Polestar 5 wins Best in Class at 2026 Good Design Awards
Polestar 5 has been awarded Best in Class for Automotive and Transport at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards.

This award marks a third consecutive year of success for our brand, following wins by Polestar 4 in 2025 and Polestar 3 in 2024. Together, these achievements reflect the strength of Polestar's uncompromising design approach and our ambition to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, electric future.
The Good Design Awards jury described Polestar 5 as a "concept car for the real world" and a "north star" for the automotive industry, recognising its integration of design, technology and sustainability.
As Polestar's flagship electric performance Grand Tourer, Polestar 5 was recognised for its combination of progressive design, innovation, performance and sustainability. Polestar 5 is the physical realisation of our Polestar Precept concept vehicle, bringing together advanced electric vehicle technology, sustainable materials and precise driving dynamics in a distinctly Scandinavian design language.
Sustainability is central to Polestar's mission and is embedded throughout Polestar 5. From recycled and lower-carbon aluminium to bio-based and recycled interior materials, every element has been considered to help reduce environmental impact without compromising on luxury, comfort or performance.
The Australian Good Design Awards are among the country's most respected design programs, celebrating excellence across a broad range of industries and disciplines. Receiving this recognition for a third consecutive year reinforces Polestar's ambition to lead the transition to sustainable electric mobility through design-led innovation.
