Goodwood Festival of Speed 2021

We are back at our favourite festival, the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Held every July at Goodwood House, the festival was one of the first major events to take place in the UK, so we needed to mark the occasion in style. With 150,000 visitors we created the unique opportunity to get closer than ever before to three cars that embody our vision of design and electric mobility, our past, present, and future. Both at the First Glance Paddock and the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb.

Two vehicles had their UK debut. The Precept and the Polestar 1 in "Sun". The precept shows our direction from a Design, technology, and sustainability standpoint, and while the weather didn't entirely match the colour of our special Polestar 1, the excitement around the car was in no way dampened!

We also surprised everyone with the Experimental Polestar 2, which pushes the limits of Polestar 2 that little bit further.

Over 230 people took a Polestar 2 test drive at the event, and we invited over 400 of our customers to the show over the 4 days to engage and talk to them about their experience with owning a Polestar.

During the Hillclimb, passengers could experience the power and precision of both Polestar 1 and 2.

“Polestar 2 is already a wonderfully dynamic car and we have spent thousands of hours fine-tuning its driving characteristics. The new [Experimental Polestar 2] chassis set-up for Goodwood has really taken it to the next level” commented Polestar’s lead chassis engineer, Joakim Rydholm, who piloted the Experimental Polestar 2.

Beyond the Road: Sergio Marques

The frozen lakes of Northern Sweden may seem a world away from the sun-drenched vineyards of Portugal, but for Sergio Marques, home is wherever his Polestar takes him. And for one weekend in late February, that home was Jokkmokk—reindeer and Northern Lights territory.

Performance, precision and progress – Polestar and the world of cycling

The humble bicycle. A clever human invention that has withstood the test of time, becoming a staple in transport and leisure all around the world. It has also been the catalyst for competitive cycling – a hugely popular, high-intensity sport where athletes push the limits of strength and endurance to outperform the competition. And, like Polestar, it’s grounded in precision, efficiency, and the relentless pursuit of progress. Coinciding with this year’s Tour Down Under in Adelaide, Polestar supported the International Cycling Executives – a global business community connected through their passion for cycling – with their first major gathering in January. Like-minded professionals came together across the week for a series of rides, with Polestar support vehicles in tow. The week of rides concluded with an event featuring a panel discussion with Olympic cyclist Grace Brown and Polestar Australia’s Managing Director Scott Maynard, as the group connected on shared values of performance, sustainability, and community.
