Range

Featuring a high-capacity 111 kWh battery and highly efficient motor technology, the powertrain for all versions of Polestar 3 is perfectly suited for traveling long distances or making frequent trips. Drivers who prefer power and acceleration over range can add the Performance pack.

Extending the range

Range-optimizing tools like the range assistant app, pre-entry climate control, and the energy-saving heat pump give the driver multiple options for extending Polestar 3's range.

Energy-saving heat pump

Waste heat doesn't have to be wasted heat. The heat pump warms up the cabin and preserves charge for more time on the road by making use of run-off thermal energy from the electric motors, battery, and ambient air.

Charging

Polestar 3 is compatible with a variety of public charging points. Along the highway, rapid DC charging stations can recharge the battery in the time it takes to get lunch and a coffee. AC chargers often found at hotels, in city centers, and at the office are better suited to longer stays.

All- or rear-wheel drive

The Polestar 3's all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive system is tuned for optimal driver engagement. The advanced electronic all-wheel drive system constantly adapts to road conditions and can disconnect the rear motor to extend the car's range.

Performance or range modes

The dual motor version of Polestar 3 allows the driver to optimize the powertrain for either maximum power or efficiency by selecting the “performance” or “range” mode. The latter enables more frequent disengagement of the rear motor to go the extra mile(s).

Suspension

Polestar 3's suspensions are defined by perfectly balanced comfort and performance dynamics. The active air suspension delivers a truly adaptive drive by adjusting ride height via sensor input, while the BWI passive dampers keep the driving experience nimble and comfortable.

The Polestar 3 Long range Dual motor's dual chamber active air suspension enhances the handling and ride quality by adapting to sensor input 500 times a second and providing different settings. The system also lowers the ride height at speed to reduce aerodynamic drag.

Passive dampers

The Polestar 3 Long range Single motor is fitted with ultramodern, BWI sophisticated passive dampers. Add-on valves such as the hydraulic rebound stops (HRS) and frequency selective damping (FSD) impart a fine balance of ride comfort and handling.

True torque vectoring

The Polestar 3 Long range Dual motor features a computer-controlled torque vectoring system that monitors for wheelspin and actively redistributes power to the wheel with more grip. This results in faster acceleration, higher cornering speeds, and better traction on slippery surfaces.

22-inch Performance wheels

The 22-inch Performance wheels are forged instead of cast using a manufacturing technique rooted in motorsport. Lighter and stronger than conventional alloy wheels and shod with custom-developed Pirelli P Zero tires, they ensure excellent handling and road contact.

Brembo brakes

Standard on every Polestar 3, the high-performance Brembo brakes benefit from decades of competition experience and a long-time collaboration with Polestar. The ventilated discs and four-piston aluminum front calipers offer increased rigidity and quick response at any temperature.
