Unlock the boot lid without a key with a foot movement

With keyless unlocking, the boot lid can be opened with a foot movement beside the left-hand rear tyre.

 Note

One of the car's keys or your phone must be within range for locking and unlocking to work.
PS-1926-Power operated tailgate footmovement sensor
The sensor is located behind the left rear tyre.

One of the car's keys must be within range behind the car, approx. 1 metre (3 feet), for opening to be possible. This also applies to an already unlocked car in order to avoid accidental opening e.g. in a car wash.

Open with a foot movement

PS-1926-Tailgate Footmovement
Kicking motion within the detector's activation area.
Make one forward kicking motion from the side of the left-hand rear tyre. Then take a step back.
A short acoustic signal sounds when opening is activated – the boot lid is opened.

If several kicking motions take place without an approved key being located behind the car, opening or closing will not be possible until after a certain delay.

Do not leave your foot positioned under the car during the kicking motion. This could cause activation to fail.

Close the boot lid

The boot lid is closed by manually pushing the lid down.

 Note

There is a risk of reduced function, or no function, if the left rear wing is loaded with large amounts of ice, snow, dirt or similar. For this reason, make sure you keep it clean.

 Note

Pay attention to the possibility that the system may be activated in a car wash or similar if the key is within range.

 Warning

Do not drive with an open boot lid! Toxic exhaust fumes could be drawn into the car through the cargo area.
