Deactivating the link between the car and the Polestar 1 app
Polestar ID is personal and does not need to be changed or deleted it if you sell your car. However, you need to end the ownership and the link between the Polestar 1 app and your car, as well as deleting all personal user data from your car.
Log in to the Polestar 1 app. If you do not have access to the app, contact Polestar Customer Support and explain that you want to sell your car.
Go to the More tab.
Select Connected cars.
Select the relevant car.
Under Ending ownership, select I no longer own this Polestar and then enter your PIN code for Polestar Connect. Doing this deletes your user history, driving log and other user accounts.
Contact Polestar Customer Support, which will delete your contact details in its systems.
If you have the opportunity, notify the purchaser that they should contact Polestar Customer Support to reactivate the Polestar Connect subscription and give their contact details.
Polestar Connect will remain active until the subscription expires.
