Precept to the people

Being a Polestar 2 owner has its advantages. Access to the world’s first in-car infotainment system with Google built in. A seamless, digital-first ownership experience. And of course, driving around in what Wired dubbed “the best EV there is right now”. However, some perks deal with another all-electric Polestar car: Polestar Precept.

Polestar 2 owners in China recently became the first people to see Polestar Precept in person. Placed in Polestar’s flax-adorned event stand at the 2020 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, Precept was the focal point for the Polestar 2 owners in attendance. “Precept is beyond any expectations of the ultimate luxury car,” says one visitor. “I’d love to see this actually launched in the market,” states another. Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath was on hand to do a walkaround of the Precept, taking the attendees through the ins-and-outs of our fully electric commitment car.

Showcasing Polestar’s next steps in design, materials, and technology, the Precept boasts features that have predecessors in the Polestar 2: sustainable vegan materials, a precedent-setting infotainment system, minimalist design details, and more. And though each owner at the event is thrilled to have taken ownership of their Polestar 2, their enthusiasm for the Precept was palpable. “I’d really like to actually drive it,” states one.

While that wasn’t possible, seeing the Precept up close and personal was a definite perk. And these Polestar 2 owners took full advantage.
