EuroCarBody Award 2019

We’re body positive here at Polestar. Take the bodies of our own products, for example. Two entirely different and equally unique examples of pure, progressive electrified performance cars.

The Eurocarbody award contest placed in front of a white Polestar 1.

And we’re not the only body-positive game in town when it comes to car engineering. EuroCarBody is a global car body benchmarking conference, meeting annually in the German salt spring city of Bad Nauheim. This is where automotive car body engineers meet to examine the development, performance and production processes for car bodies.

Not only that, it’s also the forum for the awarding of “the highest accolade in car body engineering worldwide”, the EuroCarBody Award. Broken down into the premium and volume segments, the award goes to cars which demonstrate innovative production developments in body construction. Which the Polestar 1 boasts not a few of.

Praised for both the high amount of carbon fibre involved in its construction, and the way that it acts as “an engineering study to learn about and promote the application of this material and its production”, the Polestar 1 took home 2nd place in the premium category.

We were thrilled that the Polestar 1 was recognized by such a peerless group of professional engineers/body enthusiasts. Every body is beautiful in its own way, carbon fibre or not.
