Checking the pulse: Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023

An assault on the senses. Roaring engines from every conceivable angle. Thirty years since its inception, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is still the jewel in the crown of motor events. We were there for our 5th consecutive year, showing off our expanding line-up and seeing what the public thought of the future of electric mobility.

The 2023 edition of this prestigious event was another reminder of the petrol and burning rubber legacy that birthed car enthusiasts the world over. But it was impossible to avoid the signs of the coming electric and carbon neutral age. The famous supercar (and hill climb record holder) McMurtry made yet another jaw-dropping performance, while the mega Formula One superstar Sebastian Vettel was there showcasing sustainable racing through his initiative Race Without Trace.

We decided to speak with festivalgoers to gage the current sentiment of the car industry. With sustainability front and centre in the minds of attendees, it quickly became clear that the future is bright.
