Welcome to episode two of ‘What’s in my frunk’, where we follow athletes and adventurers in their daily escapades and uncover the essentials in their trunk and frunk. Recently, we took our latest creation, Polestar 4, to an exclusive behind-the-scenes press event at the Hällered Proving Grounds, just under an hour east of Polestar HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. Journalists from various outlets and markets around the world were invited to get a feel for this new addition to the Polestar family. Here's what went down.

For most people, when they think of rally drivers, they think of Scandinavians. Strong stoic types, sat behind a wheel, tearing through asphalt, gravel and snow at breakneck speeds. But that's not the full picture. These racing drivers fundamentally changed the way cars were actually driven. They did things differently, building faster lap times in new ways. And today, we are lucky enough to talk to one of the greatest of them all: Stig Blomqvist.

At Polestar, nothing is left to chance. A car with the Polestar badge on its nose has been painstakingly designed and engineered to suit the varied lives its drivers lead - after all, we all have different priorities, places to be, and things to do. So, while the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 may seem similar to the untrained eye, in reality, there are plenty of differences both over and under the skin.

Including in Polestar 3. This month, we attended their global developers' conference to showcase the future of advanced AI, in-cabin innovation, and safer future driving experiences.

Our latest film showcasing the new digital rear-view mirror of Polestar 4 caused quite a stir. As is expected with new technology, we were flooded with questions regarding its functionality and durability in other environments. Our product gurus Brent Ellis, Head of Product Communications, and Joakim Rydholm, Head of Chassis Development, took an opportunity while in northern Sweden to put the matters to rest.

This patch of the Galaxy has long captivated the human imagination and yearned to be explored. But instead of taking Polestar 4 to space, we brought space to Polestar 4.

For over a century, the art of driving fast has been studied, practised, adjusted, messed with, and endlessly debated in the pursuit of perfection. But that was under the lens of the internal combustion engine. With Polestar's speciality lying in high-performance electric vehicles, we spoke with our Head of Chassis Development, Joakim Rydholm, to find out what it takes to drive an EV like a professional.
