What impact is the global semiconductor crisis having on Polestar?

Accepted Answer

Due to the global shortage of semiconductors from suppliers, the following features in the Pilot Pack have been changed:

• Pixel LED headlights with bending and adaptive high beam functionality have been replaced with standard full LED headlights with active high beam functionality

• Welcome & farewell light sequences have been replaced with fade in/ out animation

Changes affect Polestar 2 cars produced with the Pilot Pack after week 12 2022 (week of 21 March 2022), for all markets except US and Canada. Affected customers with pending orders will be contacted directly after week 11 2022 (week of 14 March 2022) and have the price of the Pilot Pack reduced by EUR 1000. A EUR 1000 price reduction will also apply to the new Pilot Lite Pack price.

Pilot Pack prices will be adjusted for affected leasing companies, including the leasing companies we partner with to offer private lease products.

Question 2

My car was delivered without the Hands-free tailgate foot sensor, when will I be able to have it retrofitted?

We will begin retrofitting the cars delivered without the Hands-free tailgate foot sensor from week 49 2022.

How will I know when I will be able to have this retrofitted to my car?
