World’s biggest Polestar Space opens in Stockholm
With more than 190 sales points worldwide, Polestar’s physical presence continues to expand. But none cast quite as commanding a shadow as the new Stockholm Space in Kista. At over 1,000 square metres, it is officially the largest Polestar Space in the world. We met some of the team behind it to understand what makes it so distinctive.
I think when customers arrive, their first impression will be: wow, this is big.
High above the outskirts of Stockholm rises a five-metre Polestar star. But this isn’t just any star. It’s the largest Polestar star the company has ever installed. “It’s 5.5 metres, which actually makes it bigger than the star at our HQ in Gothenburg. When you see it from a distance it looks like a large billboard. It’s quite something to look at,” says Rong Guan, Creative Director at Polestar.
Spend a few minutes inside Polestar Kista and a pattern begins to emerge. The star is bigger. The floorspace is bigger. Even the line-up at is bigger, with Polestar 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 all showcased together for the first time. (At the grand opening, they even had room for the ultra-exclusive Candela C-8 Polestar edition electric boat.)
This abundance of space allows the Kista team to deliver an elevated customer experience. An expanded car line-up, pre-owned sales, servicing, an on-site workshop, and the full suite of product expertise all available under one roof. “You can test-drive cars, receive your handover, and you can have the full experience of interacting with both the cars and our team here,” says Martin Ölund, Head of Retail Network Development at Polestar.

Martin, who has been involved since the project began in 2021, believes Kista leaves visitors with a unique first impression. “I think when customers arrive, their first impression will be: wow, this is big. But at the same time, they’ll also get a very clear sense of Polestar. We’ve developed our concept for many years and continue to refine it. Wherever you go, you get that premium Polestar feeling.”
It’s a sentiment echoed by Rong, whose role is to ensure Kista retains the familiar atmosphere that defines Polestar Spaces around the world. “Whether you’re in Sydney, Seoul or Stockholm, the feeling should be the same,” she says. “It’s calm and minimalistic. You immediately become focused. It’s a bit like entering a gallery, where your attention shifts straight to what you’re there to explore.”
You can visit the Polestar Kista Space at Kronåsvägen 2–4, 191 46 Sollentuna.
