Polestar Design Contest

Our design language isn’t a “take”. It isn’t an “approach”. It’s what the present and future of automotive could (and in our opinion, should) look like. We take our inspiration from many different sources: aerospace, product design, science fiction, and more. And in doing so, we inspire change.

As a guiding star, we want to also offer support when it comes to inspiring change. With that in mind, we set up the Polestar Design Contest: an annual event open to any and all designers (and design students), with coaching and support from Polestar Design peppered throughout the process. This isn’t a “one and done” contest; submissions are judged, shortlisted, reviewed in one-on-one sessions with Polestar designer (and Polestar Design Community founder) Juan Pablo Bernal, and rendered as digital models. The winning designs will be realised as 1/5 scale hard models, shown as centrepieces during the Polestar Design Exhibition, another annual event (more on that later) which the winners will attend as guests of honour.
