New perspectives with Polestar 1

We have never gravitated towards well-known locations. Polestar 1 has always been the focal point in any picture or video anyway. Keeping the background distinctive but free of landmarks kept the car in focus. After all, it would be much harder to appreciate the Mona Lisa if it was hanging on Michelangelo’s David.

On the other hand, Polestar 1 is distinctive enough to hold its own against familiar backdrops, especially in the hands of a professional. With that in mind, we teamed up with photography platform Cherrydeck to choose five photographers from across Germany. Their mission: to capture our electric performance hybrid in different environments across the country. Not so coincidentally, these towns either have a Polestar space or will soon play host to one.

German-Danish art director and photographer Thomas Wiuf Schwartz took Polestar 1 through the streets of Düsseldorf, commenting that Polestar 1 is “not just a bridge to electromobility, but a driving experience that creates a lasting impression.”

Munich’s Manuela Palmberger aims to show in her photos that adventures can be had without having to travel to exotic locations. “In the past, a car was simply a commodity. I never understood how one could spend more on a certain car,” she claims. “Now I understand.”

Matthias Heiderich is a Berlin-based photographer who, together with colleague Marcel Wiest, works with bright colours and contrasts. “As a photographer, you are happy about a car that’s not only efficient, but also a design object that’s damn photogenic in an urban context,” he states.

Cologne’s Matteo Sant’Unione is Managing Director of CineMars in addition to being a photographer who aims to move and inspire people with pictures. “The quiet while (Polestar 1) glides over the streets, combined with unbeatable sportiness and instant acceleration makes every journey an experience,” he enthuses. “I’d like it to be in front of my door every day!”

Fabian Hübner, from Hamburg, finds his greatest inspiration in nature. He also has an abiding interest in new technologies with environmental applications. “Sustainability and performance are no longer mutually exclusive,” he says while speaking of Polestar 1, “they actually complement each other. Polestar symbolises the future of mobility and Polestar 1 embodies exactly that.”

This experience proves that Polestar 1 stands out wherever it is. Whether in an internationally known neighbourhood, or on a windswept coast in the middle of nowhere, Polestar 1 embodies premium electrified performance.
