Design District London: Design Towards Zero panel
The most innovative ideas are brought about through creative collaboration. Ideas that have the power to change; to revolutionise the status quo and spark social and environmental change. By connecting thoughts, experiences, skills, and intuition, visionary endeavours, like design, can be elevated from good to great.
Creative coalitions are the difference between good ideas and truly innovative ones. That’s why we believe the future of car design is too important to just be the focus of car designers. By bringing different people, businesses, and industries together, we can challenge conventions and find new, more sustainable ways forward.
Therefore, we decided to host an interbranch panel discussion at Design District London, a new all-seasons hub and home to creators of all stripes. At our panel, dubbed “Design Towards Zero”, we sat down with Materials and Design Trend Forecaster Sioban Imms, Urban Designer and Architect Hannah Corlett, and Polestar Head of Design Maximilian Missoni, to peek into what the future of electric, climate-neutral mobility might look like. Sam Livingstone, Founder of Car Design Research and Visiting Professor at the Royal College of Art in London, moderated the conversation.
And the outcome saw the birth of various innovative ideas targeting design towards zero. Watch this creative get-together, captured on film at Polestar – Design District Edition, above.

Polestar x Swedish Fashion Council: driving change through collaboration
Fashion and automotive are two of the most polluting industries in the world. Not only do we face similar challenges, but we also share common goals. That is why Polestar joined the Swedish Fashion Council’s two-day [X]perience event to meet with industry experts, get new perspectives, and discuss how to drive change through collaboration.
COP27: virtual attendance, real results
The Conference of Parties, more commonly known as COP, is the biggest and most important annual conference on climate change. The objective, which is easier said than done, is to gather nations, decision makers and corporations to address ways in how we should tackle the climate crisis. This year marks the 27th edition, held in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. Or in our case, Gothenburg, Sweden. To minimise our environmental impact, we decided to do things a little differently this year.
