Distinctive design

LED technology has opened up new possibilities for creating a unique visual language. The origami-inspired headlights and futuristic light blade are immediately identifiable as features of a Polestar. An unmistakable design, especially at night.

Active high beam

Dazzle without dazzling. Polestar 2’s headlights feature an active high beam function, using camera sensors in the windshield to monitor for headlights of approaching vehicles, or taillights of cars directly ahead. Once detected, Polestar 2’s headlights automatically switch from high beam to low beam.

Ambient sensing daytime running lights

There's more to the daytime running lights than their signature look. Depending on the ambient light, they autonomously adjust their intensity, providing the best possible illumination in all conditions.

Adaptive rear light blade

Pairing a futuristic shape to forward-thinking technology, the rear light-blade’s 288 LEDs can turn on and off individually to regulate the intensity. The LEDs shine brighter on sunny days to improve visibility. When it’s dark the lights dim to save power.
