Wireless Charging

The Polestar 2 aims to bridge the gap between car and driver, stripping away all of those little extra steps so that all you have to do is get in and drive. That's why the Polestar 2 offers wireless charging.

Wireless charging (or inductive charging) is exactly what it sounds like: a way to charge mobile devices without having to plug them in. All you have to do is place your device in the wireless-charging enabled tray under the centre display, and upon arrival, it will be charged and ready for action.

How is this possible? Through the transfer of energy via electromagnetic fields, rather than a traditional cable and outlet. As long as your device is Qi-enabled (the universal standard for wireless charging from the Chinese word for “energy flow”), all you have to do is put it in the tray and drive on.
