Putting the matter to rest: Polestar 4 digital rearview mirror in snow and in the dark

Our latest film showcasing the new digital rear-view mirror of Polestar 4 caused quite a stir. As is expected with new technology, we were flooded with questions regarding its functionality and durability in other environments. Our product gurus Brent Ellis, Head of Product Communications, and Joakim Rydholm, Head of Chassis Development, took an opportunity while in northern Sweden to put the matters to rest.

How we fit our solar system in Polestar 4

Our solar system consists of the Sun, eight planets, five dwarf planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and an assortment of other small celestial bodies. This patch of the galaxy has long captivated the human imagination and yearned to be explored. But instead of taking Polestar 4 to space, we brought space to Polestar 4.

Nestled in the snowy landscapes of Jokkmokk, Sweden, we recently welcomed a handful of journalists eager to test drive Polestar 3 on ice. Here, where temperatures plummet well below freezing and daylight is a precious commodity, the true capabilities of Polestar 3 were put to the test. Over two weeks, on a bespoke test track carved into the ice of a metre-thick frozen lake, they got behind the wheel to experience our first SUV first-hand. Here’s what they had to say.
