Opening and closing the hood
To open the hood, pull the lever in the passenger compartment and then turn the handle under the hood.

 | Pull the handle to the left of the brake pedal to release the hood from its fully closed position. |
 | Turn the handle under the front edge of the hood upwards to release the catch and lift the hood. |
Important
Do not remove the panels around the storage space under the hood. Contact Polestar Customer Support if maintenance is required.
Warning - hood not closed
When the hood is released, a warning symbol and graphic will be displayed in the instrument panel and an audible signal will sound.
Note
Contact Polestar Customer Support if the warning symbol is illuminated or the warning signal sounds even if the hood is properly closed.
Closing the hood
Grasp the hood and pull it down.
When the hood has stopped against the hood lock, press the hood down with both hands as shown in the illustration to close it fully. Do not place any loads on the outer edges of the hood.
Warning
Risk of injury! When closing, make sure that the hood is completely unobstructed and that no one can be injured.
Warning
Make sure the hood locks securely after closing. It must audibly lock on both sides.
Warning
Never drive with the hood open!
If anything indicates that the hood is not completely closed while driving, stop immediately and close it properly.
