Behind the scenes at HOTE Design

The best of the best. It’s an aim for us as a brand. It’s what was required to win the inaugural Polestar Design Contest. And it’s why we reached out to HOTE Design to create the models of the winning designs.

Situated in the Bavarian town of Beilngries, HOTE was founded by former Audi Design Chief Modeller Wolfgang Holzinger in 1981 and remains a family-run enterprise. They were the obvious choice when it came time to realise these designs as hard models. After all, they helped build the Precept.

We visited their facilities, cameras in hand, to document the model-making process. We also spoke with Marcus Holzinger about their thoughts on the winning designs, their process, and their take on Polestar. See above.
