Polestar 4 digital key
FAQ
At this time, a digital key cannot be paired with an Android device, although development and certification from Google and Samsung are in progress. We will share more information once it becomes available.
We plan to release the digital key functionality for Polestar 4 to Samsung and Google devices. At the moment, this is unique to Polestar 4, as no other OEMs are in the scope to be compatible with the functionality.
Shared keys can be revoked remotely by the primary driver. As the primary driver, you can do this either through the center display or using your phone’s Wallet. When a digital key connected to Polestar 4 is revoked from your phone’s Wallet, the access is removed.
Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 have an advanced standardized digital key solution and utilize its technology by having the digital key in your phone’s Wallet.
In contrast, Polestar 2 primarily utilizes Bluetooth, along with a Cloud connection, to enable the digital key through the Polestar app. The Cloud will now be leveraged to further support digital key functions, enhancing overall stability.
When a factory reset is performed for a Polestar, the digital keys will not be deleted, and the creation of a new primary digital key will not succeed when entering the activation process. Please make sure to remove all paired digital keys prior to a factory reset.

Only the owner's profile can share the digital key. Shared keys cannot be shared further.
