Setting up Google Assistant remote actions for your Polestar 2 on iPhone
Step 1:
Download and install the Google Assistant app on your iPhone
Step 2: Link Your Accounts
1.Open the Google Assistant app.
2.Open SETTINGS and Select "Devices":
3.Select "Add devices"
4.Select "Link a car" and then choose "Polestar”.
5.Login with your Polestar account. If prompted, Allow Access to Vehicle permissions.
Congratulations, now you should be able to control your car from your Google Assistant enabled device.
Setting up Google Assistant remote actions for your Polestar 2 on your Android phone
Step 1:
Open the Google Home app. If you can’t find the app on your device, you can find it in the Google Play Store.
Step 2: Link Your Accounts
1.In the Google Home app, open SETTINGS and select GOOGLE ASSISTANT.
2.Select “Manage all Assistant settings”
3.Next, Select "Devices":
4.Then, select "Add a device":
5.Choose "Link a car" and then choose "Polestar”.
Login with your Polestar ID. If prompted, Allow Access to Vehicle permissions.
Congratulations, now you should be able to control your car from your Google Assistant enabled device.

Yes, tow bar will be an option during the final stages when placing your order. It is also possible to retrofit the tow bar after delivery.
Use the climate menu in your Polestar 2 to turn on parking climate and to keep it running while away from the driver seat. This cannot be activated if the car is in active mode. Parking climate can be turned on for 30 minutes at a time. Please note that the max defroster cannot run at the same time as parking climate. You can also set climate timers or activate the climate from the Polestar app before arriving to the car.
Our Polestar spaces are purely retail environments and not equipped to perform service or maintenance. However, staff at Polestar spaces are happy to help you book an appointment at a nearby service point. Please contact Polestar support for your maintenance questions and service bookings.
A Polestar ID is a user account tied to the e-mail address you provided when placing your order. An e-mail with an activation link will be sent to you where you need to confirm your account and update your account password.
Yes, your Polestar ID is created automatically when ordering your Polestar. You need to activate your Polestar ID within 30 days to be able to proceed with your order. This is done by clicking the link in the message which is sent to your provided e-mail address.
For security reasons, the car requires all physical keys (the main key(s) and the activity key) to be inside the vehicle when pairing the Polestar app for the first time. This is only required when pairing a primary "admin" device to the car and not for any subsequent pairings. If you do not have all keys in the vehicle, the car will display a notification and the pairing process will not be completed.
We are aware that this is happening with a few of our cars. This will not affect your warranty. We are working on a future software update which will solve the problem.
If you order a Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor and opt for the Performance pack, the Performance app does not come pre-installed. However, it can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store and set up in minutes.
Polestar Digital Key is a smart, convenient replacement for the traditional car key. An encrypted digital key is stored securely in the owner's phone, which communicates with the car using an encrypted Bluetooth connection. In Polestar 2, the digital key enables many personalized settings for the driver. Polestar 2 is still provided with a standard key fob for peace of mind.
You have newly refreshed look to the front of the car. You still have the same camera and heated radar in the front incorporated into the SmartZone. With text graphics on the mid-range radar inspired by the SmartZone design. The 2024 Polestar 2 aligns more closely from a design perspective with the rest of the Polestar lineup.

For Polestar 2 MY24 onwards, we have taken the decision to move Digital Key functionality to Plus pack. We have also included several other features from the packs to standard like wireless device charging, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS),and more.
Yes, the activity key will be available for purchase at authorized Polestar service points. Contact a service point near you for more information.
Yes, the Polestar app is standard on all Polestar 2 cars. Only the Digital Key functionality is moved from standard to the Plus pack.

To locate the Journey log application, please access the Google Play Store in your car, enter “Journey log” in the search field, and download the app. To find the Journey log app in Google Play Store, please ensure that your Google account is registered in the correct country.
Direct access to past trip history is currently not available. However, if you have installed the Journey log application in your car, you can both view and export your trips recorded from the time you installed the application.
Please visit the Google Play Store in your vehicle, download the new version of the Journey Log application, and log in using your Polestar ID.
