Changing ownership of the vehicle
Transferring ownership
If you are the owner of the vehicle, you can transfer ownership to the new owner at polestar.com. When you are logged in with your Polestar ID, select the vehicle, and then the option "Transfer ownership." Follow the instructions on the website. You can also contact Polestar Customer Support if you need any help with ending or changing ownership.

Reset the vehicle
When the current owner has ended their ownership,an automatic factory reset of the vehicle takes place. This means that profiles, user data and other individual settings are removed.
Registering the new owner in the display
If the previous owner is already removed, you can register as the new owner in the center display. Select the owner profile and go to Manage access in profile settings, then press Sign in to manage connected services and follow the instructions.

Adding a vehicle to your Polestar ID
If you purchased your vehicle through Polestar, it will be automatically added to your Polestar ID before delivery. If you have purchased a vehicle from somewhere else, you can register as the new owner by logging in with your Polestar ID at polestar.com. Select the option "Add vehicle" and follow the instructions on the website.
Removing ownership
If you aren't the owner of the vehicle anymore but can still see the vehicle when you're logged in with your Polestar ID on polestar.com, you can remove the ownership of the vehicle. This ensures that all of your personal information is removed from the vehicle and all connected services. When you are logged in with your Polestar ID, select the vehicle and then the option "I have sold my vehicle". Follow the instructions on the website.
