Assigning a key to a profile

You can assign keys to your profile. Choose a distance-capable key or key card.

In the setup guide

You can assign a key to the owner profile when you set up your vehicle. You can also assign keys to the owner profile and co-driver profiles later in profile settings.

 Note

Digital key

If you want to assign a digital key to your profile, you need to set up a digital key first. When you want to assign it to a profile, just keep the phone with the digital key on it with you in the vehicle if it has UWB1 capability. If your phone doesn't have UWB capability, place it on the interior key reader.

Key placement

If you are using a key fob, make sure you don't place it on the interior key reader when assigning it to a profile, as this may disturb the connection between the key and the vehicle. However, key cards should always be placed on the key reader.

Guest profile

You cannot assign a key to the guest profile.

 Tip

Assign a key to your profile so that your profile is automatically selected when you unlock the vehicle or unlock the driver's door using the key. If you use a key that's not assigned to any profile, the guest profile will be automatically selected.

In profile settings

Press the vehicle symbol in the bottom bar and then the profile symbol .

 Tip

You can also press the profile symbol in the status bar for quicker access to profile settings.
Go to Car keys.
Select the key you want to assign and follow the instructions in the center display.
