Locking and unlocking
The vehicle can be locked and unlocked in several different ways.
These are:
- with the buttons on the key
- keyless – a key must be within range
- keyless with Digital Key in a phone
- from inside the vehicle using the lock controls in the doors
- remote unlocking with the Polestar app
- with the detachable key blade – e.g. if the key's battery is discharged
- automatic locking when the vehicle starts driving.
Note
For safety reasons, all of the vehicle's doors will unlock in the event of a collision. This will only happen if one or more of the safety systems has been triggered.
