Five years with Polestar 1
It’s our first. The original. The one to set the stage for a fully electric undertaking, but a hard act to follow, nonetheless. And as the curtain closes on our halo car turned collector’s item, we remember only great things of Polestar 1.
Today, October 17th, marks five years of Polestar 1. The 2-door electric performance hybrid coupe that is the first and last of its kind to exist in the Polestar universe. A one-of-a-kind car that is so many things at once.
For starters, it’s a head-turner. With a low roofline, distinguishing proportions, and sharp feature lines, it truly looks the part of a limited-run, premium electric performance conversation starter. Distinctive enough to hold its own in any paint coat, and against any backdrop, in this world and in virtual alternatives.
Polestar 1 is also the embodiment of driving joy. With three electric motors and one petrol engine, its hybrid drivetrain has a combined power output of 609 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, making driving responsive, thrilling, and unparalleled.
Beyond this, Polestar 1 is seasoned, well traveled and well received. Cold-enduring and wind-withstanding. A hill-climbing, award-winning, rarity. It’s a canvas for street art and the only car you could buy with art.
Polestar 1 is also captivating, praised by journalist and costumers alike. Some calling it a technical marvel, a dream car, and a future classic, while others call it their own.
In all, it is a car worth remembering.
Looking back at the future: Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is where the old meets the new. Where the classic and the modern coexist. It showcases the past, present, and future of car culture, like no other event. So, we thought it best to bring something new, and something (g)old. Something rare, and, of course, a story to be told.
