We were the first car company to commit to publishing full Life Cycle Assessments of all our cars and keep challenging the industry to do better. Cradle-to-gate refers to the environmental impact of a car’s life from raw material extraction to reaching the customer. Every step of the production process is continuously evaluated to measure and minimise carbon footprint.
Cradle-to-grave extends beyond the cradle-to-gate evaluation to include charging, maintenance, and final recycling. The Polestar Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) quantifies the climate impact of each of these phases in one assessment.
