Using the launch feature
Activate the launch feature to help your vehicle reach maximum acceleration from a standstill.
Launch can be used when you need maximum acceleration from a standstill. You can activate it using the accelerator and brake pedals.
Important
The launch feature should be used sparingly as it causes wear on the engine.
The launch feature is only available from a standstill, after fastening your seat belt and selecting gear D.
Note
The launch feature is not available if you're towing a trailer.
Press the brake pedal all the way down.
Press the accelerator pedal all the way down.
The instrument panel will indicate that the launch feature is getting ready.
Release the brake pedal once the launch feature is ready.
The vehicle launches with maximum acceleration.
Note
If you don't release the brake pedal within approximately 10 seconds, the launch feature will deactivate.
