Sound from the vehicle
Even if your vehicle is very quiet, it is not completely silent and may emit different sounds during normal and daily operation. This is completely normal and these sounds are nothing to worry about.
Below is a list of some of the sounds the vehicle might emit during operation.

The sounds below are only provided as guidance to help familiarize you with common sounds that may be heard from the vehicle during operation. It is not a complete list of normal sounds that may be heard from the vehicle and is also not meant to be used for vehicle diagnosis.

Sound from the charging socket when the charging handle is locked with a locking pin
For safety reasons, a mechanical locking pin holds the charging handle in place during charging. The mechanical locking pin is activated about three seconds after the charging handle is plugged in.
Sound from the climate system
The climate system uses several fans and compressors of varying intensities. At high loads, when the max defroster is used, or at maximum blower speed, the sound can be heard, even outside the vehicle.
Sound when closing or locking the tailgate without a key in range
When you press the 
button on the underside of the tailgate and no key is within range of the vehicle for locking to be possible, three audible signals will be heard from the vehicle.
The same sounds will also be emitted if anyone tries to open or close the tailgate without a key using the foot sensor function.
Sound when the parking brake is engaged
A weak engine sound will be heard when the vehicle has stopped completely and the mechanical parking brake engages.
Warning sound when driving at low speeds
An audible signal sounds outside the vehicle when you are driving at low speeds to warn pedestrians of the presence of the vehicle.
Warning sound when backing up
An audible signal sounds outside the vehicle when you are backing up to warn pedestrians of the presence of the vehicle.
