Keys
The vehicle has two physical keys – the standard key and the buttonless key.
Locking and unlocking using the key
All doors and the tailgate can be locked and unlocked simultaneously using the buttons on the key.
Unlocking the tailgate using the key
The key can be used to unlock only the tailgate.
Locking and unlocking with detachable key blade
The detachable key blade can be used to unlock the vehicle from outside, for example if the vehicle has no electrical current or if the key's battery is discharged.
Automatic locking when driving
For safety reasons, the doors and tailgate will automatically lock when the vehicle starts driving.
Locking and unlocking from inside the vehicle
The doors and tailgate can be locked and unlocked from inside the vehicle using the central lock buttons in the driver's door.
Unlocking the tailgate from inside the vehicle
The tailgate can be unlocked from inside the vehicle using a button on the dashboard to the side of the steering wheel.

The vehicle can be locked and unlocked in several different ways.
Activating and deactivating child locks
The child lock prevents the rear doors from being opened from the inside.
Lock indication
The turn signals will flash when the vehicle is locked or unlocked.
Locking and unlocking settings
Settings for locking and unlocking can be adjusted as needed in the center display.
Digital Key
The Digital Key function enables a phone to be used as a key.
Activating Digital Key
To use your phone as a key, the Digital Key function must first be activated in the Polestar app.
Using Digital Key
With Digital Key, the vehicle can be locked and unlocked using keyless technology or through the Polestar app. The vehicle can also be started and operated as usual when it detects a phone with Digital Key.
