Clarifications with Klarén: redefining premium materials

We’re committed to driving the change towards a climate-neutral future, a new era of sustainable electric mobility. But such change will not occur if we rely on the same old paradigms, the same old tune. Or materials.

Change, however, doesn't have to mean compromise, a choice of a great in car experience or the environment. We believe that sustainable materials can create new design opportunities and redefine the meaning of premium.

The outcome: Polestar 2. The car features vegan upholstery as standard, its interior features recycled plastics and panels made from reconstructed wood. And for future production models, we’ve already identified a range of new, innovative solutions. Because, as we said, the same old tune won’t work.  Sustainability needs a new soundtrack.

Polestar Head of Sustainability Fredrika Klarén clarifies it all above.
