Clarifications with Klarén: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

The environmental impact of a product goes far beyond its production. Books don’t start and finish with the first chapter, after all. The entire story must be told.

This is where the Life Cycle Assessment, or LCA, comes in. An LCA is a study done to determine the environmental impact of a product. It also provides a framework to measure said impact, along with steps towards a stated goal, such as how to make that product more sustainable. An LCA report shows the findings of this study.

Listen as Polestar Head of Sustainability Fredrika Klarén explains the Polestar 2’s carbon footprint as detailed in our own LCA report, and the importance of using clean energy, above.
