Polestar Charge: more ways to save, more places to charge

A new entry-level subscription, a stronger Pro tier, and a network now past 1.25 million charge points across Europe. Fast charging just got more convenient and affordable for Polestar drivers.

One account. One app. One card. That has always been the promise of Polestar Charge. Now it comes with more room to save. Our public charging service is expanding its subscription offer with a new entry-level tier and a strengthened top tier, so drivers can match their fast-charging discounts to the way they actually drive.

Two tiers, built around real driving habits

Not every driver fast-charges the same way. Some do it occasionally, on the odd long weekend away. Others rely on it every week. Polestar Charge's updated subscription structure is built around those differences.

Alongside the standard, non-subscription tier, there are now two paid options. Plus, the new entry point, is for drivers who fast-charge now and then. For €7.99 a month, it gives a 15% discount at five selected fast-charging networks per market. Pro is for those who fast-charge often. At €14.99 a month, it gives a 30% discount across seven networks per market, Ionity included.

Both tiers also reach further than before. Plus subscribers now save at more than 104,000 charging points across Europe, 26% more than the previous subscription offer. Pro subscribers see an even bigger jump, with a discount at more than 118,000 points, up 43%.

Polestar Charge provides users with one of Europe’s largest and most convenient charging ecosystems

“Polestar Charge provides users with one of Europe’s largest and most convenient charging ecosystems," says Olivier Loedel, Head of Product Software Management at Polestar. “Now, thanks to this expanded offer, we make it even more affordable for customers to benefit from savings on fast charging through subscription options that suit their needs and driving habits.”

A network that keeps growing

Subscription or not, every Polestar Charge user starts with the same access. The network now spans more than 1.25 million public charging points across Europe, including Tesla Superchargers, all through the same single account, app and card that support Plug & Charge and in-car route planning.

What's more, drivers are using it. This summer, Polestar owners logged over 160,000 charging sessions through the service. A record for the platform.

“The transition to EVs is accelerating to more than 20% of new car sales in the European Union during the first half of 2026," says Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar. “With Polestar Charge, we make sure our drivers have convenient access to public charging, affordable charging discounts, and we turn range anxiety into a thing of the past."

What it means for owners

Polestar Charge comes included with every Polestar (and yes, that includes pre-owned cars too). Whether Plus or Pro makes sense comes down to how often fast charging features in a driver's week. Either way, there's now a tier that fits you charging habits.

Can the thrill of driving be measured? Polestar and the SDG Impact Lab at the University of Oxford aim to find out.

Automotive performance is measured in numbers. Power output. Acceleration. Lap times. The metrics matter. But they only tell part of the story. The thrill of driving remains one of the few parts of performance that has never been measured scientifically.
This summer, we're going to try to change that.
