Totally compatible
Polestar cars use the standard EU type 2, connector, which is compatible with Tesla Superchargers, as well as stations from Ionity, Total Energies, Recharge, Fastned, Allego, and over 600 other providers.
Drivers who plan to cover long distances can choose a subscription package with exclusive charging discounts on the top six providers. You’ll notice the savings after just one full charge and you can cancel any time.
It’s now possible to initiate and pay for charging simply by connecting your vehicle to compatible charging stations. These are highlighted in Google Maps and searchable in the Polestar Charge app.
Plug & Charge uses a secure connection between car and charger for instant authentication and payment. There’s no need to open an app or swipe a card.
Polestar 3 currently supports Plug & Charge. Other Polestar EVs will be updated with this feature soon.
