Within Polestar, we consider inclusion to mean that people from any number of backgrounds and identities can be welcomed, valued, respected and heard, and given the opportunity to positively contribute.

For the vulnerable in our supply chain, employees of varied backgrounds inside our organisation, and our customers around the world, a set of inclusion initiatives helps us to drive change and champion elemental human rights.

Polestar is committed to acting responsibly across all aspects of its operation, and encourages a compliance and speak-up culture. We work with a variety of risk assessment and audit systems to better mitigate and manage risk among suppliers and other partners. Internal and partner Codes of Conduct outline the principles required of us and our business partners.

Some of the greatest sustainability risks and human rights challenges today occur in the supply chain, including (but not limited to) child labour, forced labour, and hazardous working conditions.

We balance these risks with opportunities created across the supply chain, and work to ensure human rights while creating jobs. We do so by adhering to a variety of policies and collaborative initiatives, including the UN’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and we require suppliers to demonstrate the same set of principles.

Our aim is that all Polestar employees should feel that their contribution to the workplace is valued, that their voice is heard, and feel comfortable and connected. To that end, employees are encouraged to be vocal about any ethical issues or instances of misconduct, and can open a dialogue via multiple channels, including the SpeakUp tool.

The Polestar Way is our company-wide philosophy of ‘digital first, human always.’  All employees receive hands-on training regarding how to create an experience for our customers in which no-one is left behind.

Polestar spaces are designed to be accessible for customers with restricted mobility, and we conduct spot-checks to ensure that every visitor is able to enjoy an immersive, inclusive experience.
