Home charging gives you the freedom to connect and charge your car whenever you like.
You cover your daily driving needs and, at the same time, are prepared for any unforeseen or last-minute journeys. When you are plugged in, you can also pre-climatize your vehicle with energy directly from the grid. It’s cheaper, potentially faster (depending on which method you use) and you can charge from a normal AC socket - as long as you check with a licenced electrician first.
Both the PS1 and PS2 can be charged with up to 11kW using a type 2 charging connection (CCS2). They can both handle 1-phase charging up to 7kW and with a 3-phase connection the full 11kW. The charging equipment should follow the European Charging Standard IEC 61851 and 62196. It is possible to safely connect the car to a higher-output station, but the maximum charging capacity remains at 11kW.Note: Click here to find home charging stations and installation support in your market.
