Vegan interior

WeaveTech is entirely free of animal products. It's a water-based (not solvent-based), dirt and moisture resistant, modern PVC material inspired by divers' wetsuits. It was intentionally designed to be distinct from leather, a redefinition of premium materials that has its own identity and characteristics, as opposed to a leather-like-but-animal-free upholstery. We went full vegan. We made it standard. And we call it WeaveTech.

Pixel LED headlights

The origami-inspired, pixel LED lamp-equipped headlights of the Polestar 2 automatically shade out specific areas to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers, while maintaining the best possible illumination. This means that it's possible to drive with high beams on, all the time, even in oncoming traffic. The possibility to shade up to five vehicles is not available for North American markets.

Polestar Digital Key

The Polestar 2 doesn't have a key. Instead, it has your phone. Aside from the obvious convenience of not having to rely on a physical key or fob, having your phone as the authentication device puts you at the centre of the entire digital experience.

Adjusts itself to you

The Polestar 2 adjusts itself to you, not the other way around. Once you touch the door handle, the Polestar 2 unlocks. From inside, your phone (via the Polestar Connect app) reminds the Polestar 2 of your preferred seat and mirror settings automatically. Upon leaving, close the door and touch the handle to lock.

The Polestar 2 is the first car to come with an infotainment system powered by Android. It offers the Google Assistant, which has been perfected to understand user commands in various languages; Google Maps, which offer real-time and up-to-date information; and Google Play Store, which offers a full suite of apps which have been optimised for the in-car experience.

A Multi-Faceted Battery

This is not a battery with a chassis on top. This is one system operating in harmony. This symbiosis is achieved, in part, because the battery has a number of features that make it more than just a power source. The battery's inherent rigidity adds torsional stiffness to the car, improving handling and responsiveness. Due to its size, it reduces noise, vibration and harshness (or NVH) by 3.7 dB, making the Polestar 2 an exceptionally quiet electric car. The interior is like a library, if libraries had 300 kW.
