From pairing your phone to downloading apps and troubleshooting tips. The videos on this page will help you get the most from the Polestar 2’s integrated, intelligent infotainment system.
You can download and install new apps when the vehicle is stationary and connected to the Internet. Open App view, tap Google Play, and search for the app you want. Tap install and follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation. Your Google account must be connected to the current user profile in order to open Google Play.
1. To pair an iPhone with the car, first activate Bluetooth on the phone.
2. On the centre display, tap the Connect your phone tile, then the Pair new device button at the bottom of the screen. The screen should now list your phone as an available device.
3. Tap to select your phone, then tap the Pair button to confirm that the pairing codes match.
4. You’ll also need to tap Pair on your phone, then tap to allow access to your phone’s contacts and favourites.
5. Confirm access to these services on the centre display.
6. The centre display will now prompt you to enable messages and notifications on your phone in order to allow messages. On your phone, tap Polestar under My Devices, then switch on Show Notifications.
7. On the centre display, tap Try again and then Allow to complete the pairing process.
You can now make calls, send and receive text messages, play media directly through the vehicle's speakers, and more.
1. To pair an Android phone with the car, first activate Bluetooth on the phone.
2. On the centre display, tap the Connect your phone tile, then the Pair new device button at the bottom of the screen. The screen should now list your phone as an available device.
3. Tap to select your phone, then tap the Pair button to confirm that the pairing codes match. You’ll also need to tap OK on your phone.
4. Tap done on the centre display to allow access to your Phone and Media.
5. then tap Allow twice on your phone to allow access to your contacts and messages.
6. On the centre display, tap Allow to complete the pairing process.
You can now make calls, send and receive text messages, play media directly through the vehicle's speakers, and more.
Find the Home button on the centre display and hold it for 20 seconds. Continue to hold the button when the screen displays a message. When the screen goes black you can release the button. The system will now display a message indicating that it is restarting.
This is the classic “turn it off and on again” move. If the Polestar 2 loses its connection to the internet, tap the settings icon in the centre display and then tap Network and internet. Now tap to switch Mobile data off, and then tap again to switch it back on.
1. In your Android phone settings, tap Connections, and then Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.
2. Now tap to switch on both Mobile Hotspot and Bluetooth tethering.
3. On the centre display, open the settings menu and choose Network and internet.
4. Tap Wi-Fi to open up the list of available Wi-Fi networks, and select your mobile device by tapping the device name in the list.
5. Now enter your password to connect your system.
1. In your iPhone settings, tap Personal Hotspot, and then toggle on Allow Others to Join.
2. On the centre display, open the settings menu and choose Network and internet.
3. Tap Wi-Fi to open up the list of available Wi-Fi networks, and select your mobile device by tapping the device name in the list.
4. Now enter your password to connect.
To find charging stations on your Google maps route, tap the Google Maps icon in the centre display and enter an address or location in the search field. The suggested route is shown in blue on the map. Alternative routes are marked in grey. Now tap the Home button, and then the charging station icon in the Google Maps tile. The map now displays all the charging stations near the route you chose.
On the centre display tap P2 then the main Polestar 2 tile. Tap Screen lock, then PIN, and enter your PIN code which must contain a minimum of four digits. Enter it again, then tap Confirm. Your centre display is now protected by PIN code access, so you’ll have to enter your PIN to unlock it every time you get into your car.
For a less sensitive alarm, just tap More on the centre display, then tap Locking. Now toggle the Reduced Guard setting to On. You can now leave your dog in the car without worrying about her triggering the alarm.
