Putting Performance to the Test

Arriving at the prototype build phase of production is a milestone for Polestar. It means that we can finally enter a phase which is as crucial as it is thrilling: testing. From safety to comfort, road noise to aerodynamics, every facet of the Polestar 1 is tested to ensure that it’s performing optimally across the board. It’s a fascinating and incredibly thorough process, and we want to share it with the world.

The documentation of the testing process is a glimpse behind the curtain, a privileged look at the entire testing journey, down to the micron. It’s a journey that takes the Polestar 1 from the testing track at Hällered to the crash labs of the Volvo Car Corporation. It has the verification prototype cars finding themselves in all types of unique environments, from the soundproofed walls of Cell #7 for noise testing, to the country roads of Töllsjö for steering calibration.

This journal will be updated on a rolling basis. Every time a new test is performed, we’ll document it and present the results here.
