Polestar’s warranty covers repairs to or replacements of faulty components, paintwork and rust caused by manufacturing defects. The battery pack is also covered. Read on for full details.
If any part of your Polestar fails due to faulty materials or manufacturing issues, we will replace it free of charge at a Polestar Authorized Service Point. This guarantee covers the first 4 years of ownership or 80,000 km, whichever comes first. Faults and deviations in the vehicle’s paint surface that have occurred due to a defect in materials or paint application from the factory are also covered.
The lithium-ion battery pack is an integral part of your Polestar plug-in hybrid or electric car. You’ll be glad to know that any material defect will be resolved free of charge at an authorised service location, within the first 8 years of ownership or 160,000 km, whichever comes first. A small loss of battery capacity over time is normal, however if the battery capacity reduces below 70% of its original capacity within the first 8 years of ownership we will replace your battery free of charge.
We take great care choosing the sheet metal used in Polestar cars, ensuring optimal appearance and performance, always. However, in the unlikely event that rust perforation does occur we will repair or replace the affected panel free of charge, within the first 12 years of ownership, if the corrosion is due to faulty materials or construction.
