Polestar 1 is where world-class engineering and high-grade components meet uncompromised design. Beautiful lines with powerful, sculpted exterior surfaces are combined with state-of-the-art technology underneath. Each and every part, every detail, is there for a reason.
The use of carbon fibre has hugely influenced the overall form of Polestar 1, enabling a distinctive low roof line and creating a unique silhouette.
These ideas are expressed inside the car too, most noticeably in the carbon fibre wing on the decor that defines the instrument panel. An integrated Bowers & Wilkins sound system delivers a high-end audio experience while the car's 2+2 seating configuration features intricate leather detailing and handcrafted upholstery. Further adding to the premium sensation, elaborate interior lightning welcomes passengers into the car and provides a warm ambience through the entire trip.
The Polestar 1 comes with a fixed panoramic glass roof that stretches the length and width of the car. It's been integrated seamlessly offering an unobstructed overhead view. Integrated into the roof is a leather-clad console which provides control over certain functions in the car. But the most unique aspect of the panel is the illuminated Polestar symbol reflected in the glass above, like a star in the sky.
Both the interior and exterior design can be customized according to your preferences. Choose between six exclusive exterior colours—all available in metallic or matte versions—carefully selected to match the design of the car. Add a unique touch with your personal choice of upholsteries, rims and brightwork, making sure you get the Polestar 1 the way you want it.
Ground-breaking ideas, backed by decades of automotive knowledge. The Polestar 1 offers an incomparable driving experience, made possible through torque vectoring, unique carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) components and a host of other innovations.
To optimize torsional rigidity and lightness, almost the entire upper body of Polestar 1 is made of carbon fibre reinforced polymer. The underbody also features the Dragonfly, a CFRP patch (developed by Polestar) which radically stiffens the interface between the middle floor and the rear structure.
A standard-fit active rear spoiler creates high-speed downforce on the rear axle. It automatically deploys from its integrated position at speeds over 100 km/h, retracting when speeds drop below 70 km/h.
