You will be given an estimated delivery and handover window when you order your Polestar. Deliveries are planned to begin in Canada in September 2020. We will be sure to communicate all delivery updates directly to you via email.

We recommend installing a Level 2 J1772 type home charger, which you can purchase on Polestar.com prior to receiving your car. Charging time for your Polestar will vary depending on the type and power of the charger you are using.
No matter where you are, your Polestar 2 can find the closest charging location when you say "Hey Google, where is the closest charging station?" There are multiple charging networks across Canada where you can charge your Polestar. Chargers vary by location (some are DC Fast Chargers and others are AC Level 2 chargers). The networks are privately owned, and charging sessions can be purchased on demand or via a subscription; most networks are accessible through a smartphone app or via credit card.
At this time, Polestar vehicles do not qualify for any federal or provincial tax incentives in Canada. For more information, we encourage you to consult your tax professional.
Scheduling service for your Polestar is easy and available 24/7 through the Polestar app or Polestar Support. You can also call your Polestar Authorized Service Point during normal business hours. All Polestar Service visits include free pick-up and delivery for the first 240 kilometers.
Yes, you can trade in your car as part of the Polestar digital ordering process.
Approximately 2 to 4 weeks before delivery, you will receive directions on how to complete a digital trade-in appraisal — the process takes only minutes. The trade-in paperwork, including any lien payoff, will be completed on the date the sale of your new Polestar is completed.
After making your deposit, your order will be sent to production. The email address and password you used to configure your vehicle will become your Polestar ID. That ID will allow you to access updates about your order in the My Account section of Polestar.com
If you have a trade-in, you will provide details closer to delivery. At that time you can also apply for credit if you are financing or leasing your Polestar and schedule your Polestar handover.
Production slot timing can only be guaranteed once we receive confirmation of your order, so we recommend completing your order as soon as you are able. Pre-orders that are not converted within six months will expire.
We will do our best to accommodate modifications. Making changes to your configuration depends on the status of your order at the factory. Please contact Polestar Customer Support for assistance with your specific needs.
You'll be invited to apply for credit approval from Polestar Financial Services approximately 2-4 weeks prior to delivery. Polestar Financial Services offers multiple payment options and term lengths.
Your Polestar 2 is covered for all manufacturing or material defects for the first 4 year/80,000 kilometers (whichever comes first). The battery and electric motors are covered for 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. The car also has extended warranty protection against corrosion (12 years) and for the airbag system (5 years).
The first Polestar space openings will be located in Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto. With our fully digital purchasing experience, Polestar is available nationwide.
You can choose to pick up your new Polestar at a location close to your local space, or you can plan for home delivery with your retailer. Yes, but we'll be sad to see you go. To cancel your order, contact Polestar Support via phone, chat, or Contact Us form and we will help you process the cancellation. Please make sure you have your order number handy. Your deposit will be refunded directly to the card used to place the order. Fees may apply, please see order terms and conditions.
The launch edition will be produced for the first year of production and is the first available version of Polestar 2. It features a long-range battery, all-wheel drive, 300 kW (408 hp) and 660 Nm (486 ft-lb). The launch edition features a very high level of standard specification, with very few options available. Other versions of Polestar 2 will follow at a later date and their details will be confirmed in the future.
Polestar Digital Key is a smart, convenient replacement for the traditional car key. An encrypted digital key is stored securely in the owner's phone, which communicates with the car using an encrypted Bluetooth connection. In Polestar 2, the digital key enables many personalized settings for the driver, enables car sharing and allows for connected Polestar services like pick-up and delivery. Polestar 2 is still provided with a standard key fob for peace of mind.
Our plan is to produce 500 cars per year, but there is scope to extend this slightly at the Polestar Production Centre if needed.
