Minimise the compromises: Polestar Precept becomes Polestar 5

From concept to reality. A process every product goes through, one packed with changes and compromises, the watering down of certain details and the wholesale abandonment of others. As a result, the finished product often barely resembles the original idea, the end result being something halfway between the designer’s ambitions and the production capabilities available.

Sustainable mobility is complicated.

Looking back at the future: Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is where the old meets the new. Where the classic and the modern coexist. It showcases the past, present, and future of car culture, like no other event. So, we thought it best to bring something new, and something (g)old. Something rare, and, of course, a story to be told.

Craftsmanship’s comeback: the Allebike Alpha Polestar edition

Craftsmanship is making a comeback. Some say it’s a dying art form in a fast-moving world. We’d argue it embodies all things premium. Our newest additional, the Allebike Alpha Polestar edition, does just that. There will always be a place for craftsmanship in our world. In this case in our additionals web shop.

The art of recycling: EV batteries

Lithium-ion batteries are state-of-the-art power sources for EVs and other portable electronic devices. And as our battery powered universe keeps on rapidly expanding, the questions around how to recycle them does the same. It’s about more than just reusing materials and components. Different methods and people are involved in the process. It’s complex, interesting, and important. It is, in other words, an art. And like all art, it’s made to be examined.

The End of the Beginning

As of today, June 24th, Polestar is listed on the Nasdaq in New York under the ticker PSNY. This allows us to welcome shareholders, as well as customers, to join our journey towards more sustainable electric performance. This is a confirmation that Polestar has come of age. An end of the beginning. And a beginning of something more.

Global Fashion Summit: alliances for a new era

Fashion is many things. Bold, experimental, and highly influential, to name a few. It’s a place of innovation and boundary-pushing. Which is exactly what the world needs right now. That’s why we are the main partner of this year’s Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition.

Details make a difference: Polestar 2 design and performance upgrades

Sometimes, the smallest things can have the greatest impact. A fitting sentiment from a company made up of the detail obsessed. Since Polestar’s inception, the details have been in focus. As has our ambition to constantly improve.

BST edition 270: the performance-oriented Polestar 2

Performance is relative. For most people, running 100 m in 20 seconds would be remarkable. For Usain Bolt, it would be a disappointment. Polestar 2, with its holistic, intuitive, highly engineered driving experience, is already a performance EV by many standards. With the release of Polestar 2 BST edition 270, there’s now a version which brings that performance to an entirely new level.

Curbing Concerns: EV batteries

EVs are becoming ever more popular. Something we’re obviously very excited about.

Polestar sustainability report 2021

Accountability is key. To combat the growing tide of greenwashing, greenhushing, and all the other buzzwords that denote a lack of transparency around sustainability work, we need to hold each other responsible. Successes and failures need to be communicated. Questions need to be asked and answers demanded. We need hard data when it comes to exactly what it is we’re doing, and what we have left to do. And when requiring these things from others, we can’t forget ourselves.

Hot and cold behaviour: how EV batteries are affected by extreme temperatures

EVs are an integral part of a cleaner, more sustainable future. And to enable widespread electric vehicle adoption, they must be optimised for all environments and conditions. After all, whether 25° C or -25° C, the tailpipe emissions still need to be zero.
