Business Development Manager - Polestar Canada

Polestar needs someone in the Canadian Market place to be responsible for the Polestar strategy and business development. You will manage and coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives in the Canadian market. You will be a key member of the management team within Polestar, securing future business opportunities connected to new mobility, connectivity and services. This role is based in Toronto, Canada and reports to the Head of Polestar USA.

What you will do

  • Evaluate business development opportunities in Canada by optimizing market requirements and securing Polestar’s position with target customer segments.
  • Identify strategic partnerships and coordinate connected services development (assessment, business case, development etc.)
  • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects and drive associated activities.
  • Drive the development of market strategic plan.
  • Manage the “Care by Polestar” offer within the marketplace.
  • Manage the reporting of KPI dashboard, as well as reports to program directors.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management.
  • Implement suitable strategies and objectives.
  • Manage the staff and vendors of specific programs.
  • Assess program performance to maximize ROI.

Who you are

  • Experience as a business development manager, program manager or other managerial/consulting position.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Solid grasp of MS Office with a working knowledge of program/project management software.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
  • You enjoy working in a team and collaborating with others through your strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An aptitude for problem-solving.

You are tenacious and organized, with an eye for detail and the ability to multitask. You have experience communicating effectively to diverse stakeholder groups. You have strong business acumen, with skills in business and financial analytics, modeling, strategic planning, marketing, marketing research, public speaking, influencing, and negotiation.

You have the experience, the work ethic, and the knowledge to excel in this role. You’re well-versed in local business principles, culture and ways of working which pertain to Canada, where you’ll be based. You’ll be willing and able to occasionally travel, working as part of a team to develop and support Polestar internationally.
